China Sees Increase in Foreign Visitors

China had 23 million foreign visitors in the first half of the year. This is a 20.4% increase from 2025.

A spokesperson said the growth is due to easier travel procedures and visa waivers.

Almost 18 million foreigners entered China without a visa, which is up 30.6% from last year.

The top countries that visited China were South Korea, Russia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, the U.S., Japan, Mongolia, and Australia. These countries sent the most visitors to China. The visitors came from all around the world.

A travel company manager said more Vietnamese people are traveling to China.

His company had 50% more bookings in 2025-2026 than in the previous two years.

He said that better services, infrastructure, and flights made China a popular choice for Vietnamese visitors.

The manager also said that cultural similarities and easy entry policies made China attractive.

Travelers could choose from many options, with prices ranging from $114 to $1,500, and over 40 flights and 20 land routes.

The manager added that people now prefer high-end tours, often choosing shopping-free trips to popular places like Beijing and Shanghai.
