0:00Agriculture stays one of Vietnam's key
0:02export sectors with export value
0:04reaching nearly 36 billion US dollars in
0:06the first half of 2026. But around 25%
0:09of the country's total food production
0:11is lost or wasted each year according to
0:14the World Bank.
0:15>> Right. And that is exactly why
0:18Vietnamese businesses are adopting
0:20datadriven management to optimize
0:21production, reduce losses, improve
0:24efficiency, traceability, and export
0:26competitiveness.
0:31By making every stage of production
0:33verifiable, companies can strengthen
0:35brand credibility, meet the requirements
0:38of higher value markets, and expand
0:40their market reach.
0:45This product contains dual layer
0:48validation. The first one verifies the
0:50origin while the second one detects if
0:53the product is genuine by capturing data
0:56across the entire cycle from cultivation
0:59and processing to the final point of
1:01sale. This system has increased product
1:04value by five to seven times.
1:10They can demonstrate how many growing
1:12areas they have. They can also show
1:14through their electronic production
1:16records which biological products,
1:19fertilizers and cultivation practices
1:21were used to create the distinctive
1:23quality of Vietnamese agriculture
1:25products. These transparency helps build
1:28trust with international partners and
1:30supports the sustainable growth of their
1:32businesses.
1:36Yet data creates value long before
1:39product reaches consumers. By helping
1:41businesses make better decisions
1:43throughout production, it reduces
1:45losses, increases yields, and lowers
1:48operating costs.
1:50Without our data system there, uh you
1:53must manage um an expert, an a proposure
1:56expert and a bunch of workers. Now the
2:00the communication time is cut off. So we
2:04only need one worker. The expert now can
2:07monitor many farms.
2:09>> But creating value at scale will require
2:12more than individual efforts.
2:15Therefore, common data standards and
2:17clear regulations are needed to connect
2:20data across the agricultural value
2:22chain.
2:25The government or the ministry of
2:27agriculture and environment should
2:29introduce policies and standardize data
2:31templates for agricultural production.
2:33Vietnam will be able to build a unified
2:35agricultural data system.
2:39>> The launch of the national agricultural
2:41traceability system on July the 1st
2:44marks another step in that strategy.
2:46shifting agricultural management from
2:48paperbased records to shared digital
2:51data to strengthen the value and
2:53competitiveness of Vietnamese
2:55agricultural products.
