The upgrades include a ramp and wheelchair lift at the back‑alley entrance, accessible toilets, a lowered bar, a dedicated sensory room, an adjustable DJ booth, and haptic vests that let deaf patrons feel the beat.

DJ Lana Zilla, who describes their condition as “dynamic” or “fluctuating” disabilities, has long struggled to find clubs that accommodate mobility aids such as a walker or a stick. “Accessibility in most clubs is not great,” they told ABC News.

Club 77 also launched staff training on disability access, ensuring employees can assist patrons confidently. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive; Lana Zilla said the new lift and sensory area “make a big difference.” Gorrel added, “The more of these types of accessibility upgrades happen, the better,” and hopes other venues will follow his example.
