Elon Musk said on X that Community Notes will get a new feature soon. If you interact with a post that gets corrected, a bot will send you a message.

Elon Musk did not give many details. We do not know when this feature will start. We also do not know what kinds of interactions will make the bot send a message. Will a like make the bot send a message, or do you need to share the post?

It is worth asking if this will really stop false information from spreading. Often, a post gets popular before it gets corrected. Sending messages to people who shared the post will only work if they check their messages and want to remove their interactions.

Having some accountability is better than none.
