World's Second-Best Airport Increases Safety After Tourists Rush to Check-In

A video showing many passengers rushing to check-in counters at Incheon Airport's Terminal 1 went viral online on July 2.

Passengers pushed their luggage carts through barriers to get to the counters first, instead of waiting in line.

There were five similar incidents in July, according to Yonhap News Agency.

Some airline employees were hurt while trying to get the passengers back in line.

Passengers are at Incheon International Airport in South Korea.

Airport authorities may put up plastic partitions to stop passengers from cutting in line. They are also checking the departure halls more often to keep everyone safe.

Officials will keep watching the check-in areas because similar incidents could happen again.

Incheon Airport, the world's second-best airport, had 19.78 million international passengers from January to March. This is the most among all international airports globally.

Most visitors to South Korea so far this year are from China.

South Korea has allowed Chinese tour groups of three or more people to visit without a visa for up to 15 days since last year.
