JW Marriott Phu Quoc’s ‘Across the Table’ blends Michelin‑starred chefs, sustainability and Vietnamese culture

JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa launched Marriott International's 2026 Luxury Dining Series, "Across the Table," with a six‑day program that mixes Vietnamese cuisine and cultural experiences.

Six chefs, a Bangkok‑based mixologist, local artisans and performers took part in 13 culinary, beverage, and cultural experiences, ranging from a visit to a local fish market to dinners featuring Vietnamese traditional performing arts.

Chef Summer Le is the first chef in Vietnam to receive a Michelin Green Star, recognizing restaurants at the forefront of sustainable practices.

The program incorporated Vietnamese cultural elements such as hat boi theater, pottery activities with local ceramic studio Gom Om, oyster‑pearl opening, and Truc Chi paper art.

Following its opening in Phu Quoc, "Across the Table" will travel to The Naka Island in Phuket, The St. Regis Maldives, Mandapa Bali, and The Ritz‑Carlton Kyoto before concluding aboard Luminara of The Ritz‑Carlton Yacht Collection.

By pairing world‑class chefs with local traditions and eco‑friendly cooking, the series shows how luxury hospitality can create immersive experiences that celebrate both culinary excellence and cultural heritage.
