A popular Caribbean band singer is shocked and sad after five band members died in a plane crash.

Singer Shaniese Miller talked to reporters after the sad incident on Friday when a small plane crashed in the Bahamas, killing 10 people.

The band was known for playing Caribbean music and was on its way to perform at a celebration on Andros Island.

The plane took off from Lynden Pindling International Airport and was headed for San Andros when it crashed in North Andros. The flight usually takes less than 20 minutes. The plane crashed in North Andros.

Miller said, "I'm still shocked that they're gone. I'm shocked. They're my family and I never expected that to happen. I'm still in shock. I'm sad."

The plane crashed on the island of North Andros.

The singer was with her band the week before at a performance in Nassau.

The band members were excited to go to Andros after their last performance, Miller said.

The band members who died were Giovanni McKenzie, Mateo Winder, Rashad Storr, Tonique Gilot, and Travis Johnson. DJ Fresh was also on the flight.

Another band vocalist, Shenia Roberts, had flown on the same plane earlier that day with the same pilot.

The plane was old, but they didn't have any issues, she said. The plane seemed old.

Five band members were killed in the crash.

Miller talked about her bandmates, saying they were her friends and confidants. They were the people she talked to every morning and night. She was waiting for them.

The singer said, "It's been crazy. They were my people. I saw them every day. I talked to them every day. My life was my band and music. They were my friends. I'm sad."

The singer said, "They were my people. I'm sad."

Bahamian Prime Minister Philip Davis paid tribute to the victims, saying he was praying for their families.

The Prime Minister said, "This is a painful moment. The families need compassion and support."

The Bahamas Musicians and Entertainers Union said the victims were talented members of their community.

The union said, "Their passion and artistry touched many lives and helped the cultural fabric of The Bahamas."

Three other passengers who were not performers were also on the flight, but their names have not been released.

Bahamian investigators are looking into what caused the crash.

Flamingo Air stopped all flights after two emergency incidents happened on the same day, including a plane catching fire in Nassau.
