Dollar gets stronger against Vietnamese currency

The Vietnamese bank, Vietcombank, sold US dollars for a little more money. They sold dollars for 0.08% more at VND26,510. On the black market, dollars were sold for less. The price went down by 0.83% to VND26,330.

The US dollar was strong in the world market on Tuesday. There were mixed signals from the Middle East. This made people worried about energy. But there was also hope for peace, which made things a little better.

The dollar did not change much against the Japanese yen. It stayed at 162.50 yen. The euro also did not change much. It stayed at $1.1415. The British pound stayed firm at $1.3434. This happened after the new Prime Minister of Britain said he would follow financial rules.

The US dollar index did not change much. It stayed at 100.96. This is near its highest level since July 15. The index measures the dollar against other currencies.
