Thailand is Not the Second Largest Aviation Market in Southeast Asia

Indonesia has the largest aviation market in Southeast Asia with 10.9 million seats. It is up 0.3% from last year. Indonesia is still the largest.

Thailand was second, but now it is third with 6.9 million seats. This is 3% less than before. Malaysia and the Philippines are after Thailand.

There is less capacity in Malaysia, Thailand, and the Philippines because of the Middle East crisis.

Vietnam Airlines is the largest airline in Southeast Asia. It has 2.81 million seats, which is 0.1% more than last year. This is according to OAG.

The total capacity in Southeast Asia is less by 1.2% compared to last year. It is now 50.4 million seats. This is because of higher fuel costs due to problems in the Middle East. OAG reported this.

Some Southeast Asian airlines have stopped international flights because fuel costs are rising.
