Samsung Foldable Phones Break Pre-order Records

Samsung's new foldable phones are doing well before their launch. They will be out on August 7.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Flip 8, and Z Fold 8 Ultra are breaking pre-order records. Pre-orders in the US are 30% higher than before, with the Z Fold 8 making up nearly half of all pre-orders.

These numbers show that foldable phones might become popular soon. The Z Fold 8 has a wider design, similar to a rumored iPhone. This could change the smartphone market.

Three times as many Flip users are switching to Fold phones. This is significant, given the high prices of the Fold 8 and Z Fold 8 Ultra.

This trend is also happening outside the US.

In South Korea, 1.44 million units were pre-ordered in seven days. Pre-orders are also higher than ever in Europe.

The foldable phone market has come a long way since it started less than ten years ago. Early versions were expensive and had visible creases, but they have improved a lot.
