Russian Tourist Dies in Bus Accident on Vietnam Highway

The accident happened early on August 15 on the Phan Thiet-Dau Giay Expressway in Lam Dong Province.
A truck had stopped in the emergency lane because it had a mechanical problem. The truck was going from Lam Dong to Dong Nai.
A bus was driving in the same direction and hit the back of the stopped truck. The bus driver was born in 1984 and is from Khanh Hoa Province.
The front of the bus was badly damaged, and the back of the truck was also hurt.
A Russian woman born in 1988 died in the crash. Another Russian passenger was injured and taken to the hospital.
The bus driver said he was sleepy.
The driver told police he was driving while feeling sleepy, which caused the crash.
The truck driver said he stopped his truck in the emergency lane because of a problem. He got out to put up a warning sign.
