Large photographs of each of the 36 streets line the walls, each paired with panels that explain the origin of the street’s name and the traditional trades that once thrived there, giving a visual snapshot of old Hanoi.

Beyond the pictures, the show offers hands‑on workshops. Artisans from renowned craft villages such as Bat Trang, Bo Bat pottery, embroidery and lacework studios, Kim Son sedge weaving and Phong Khe paper making demonstrate their skills, allowing visitors to try the crafts themselves.

“Net Kinh Ky shows that heritage does not belong solely to the past. It can remain present, interactive and inspirational in contemporary life,” said Le Xuan Kieu, director of the Center for Cultural and Scientific Activities at the Temple of Literature.
