Should You Wait for the Rumored iPhone 20?
According to recent leaks, the iPhone 20 could feature an all‑glass body with a display that curves around all four edges. Apple is also said to be using a thinner COE OLED panel, which should boost outdoor brightness while consuming less power than the OLED expected on the iPhone 18 Pro.
Apple is reportedly exploring ways to move the entire Face ID system and front‑facing camera beneath the display. If successful, the iPhone 20 could eliminate the Dynamic Island and offer a completely uninterrupted screen.
Apple is reportedly developing its own stacked camera sensor that uses LOFIC technology. The new sensor is expected to reach about 20 stops of dynamic range, which would give noticeably better photo quality, especially in very bright or very dark scenes.
Apple is reportedly investigating a silicon‑anode battery that can store more energy, potentially giving longer battery life without adding thickness or weight. At the same time, the device may house an A21 Pro chip built on an improved 2 nm process and paired with vertically stacked high‑bandwidth memory, which together could raise on‑device AI performance and overall efficiency.
If many of these upgrades appear in the iPhone 20, waiting could mean a dramatically different phone with better display, camera, battery and AI capabilities. Until Apple confirms the details, the choice to upgrade now or later depends on which of these features matter most to you.
