Cross‑border tourism partnership between Tuyen Quang and Wenshan explained

The Thanh Thuy–Tianbao international border gate gives Tuyen Quang and Wenshan a ready channel for closer ties and access to sites such as the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark and community‑based tourism villages. Travel operators can therefore design cross‑border packages that combine natural scenery with cultural experiences.
Under the 2026 cultural and tourism cooperation agenda, both sides share policy, market and product information, link tours and ease visitor movement through the gate. They also cooperate on cultural heritage preservation while respecting each country’s regulations.
According to the provincial Department of Finance, Tuyen Quang welcomed more than 2.8 million tourists from January to August, reaching 70.3 % of its annual target. The total included 519,409 foreign visitors and generated spending of 7.88 trillion VND (about 303 million USD).
Working sessions involving the Tuyen Quang Tourism Association, travel companies and their Wenshan counterparts have already produced cooperation agreements on tourism and travel services. Liu Huai, Deputy Director of the culture and tourism bureau of Wenshan Zhuang and Miao autonomous prefecture, said Tuyen Quang’s ecotourism and cultural tourism potential will be used to coordinate interconnected tourism routes, group exchanges and business cooperation.
The partnership shows that a clear border‑gate link, a shared 2026 agenda, signed service agreements and joint marketing plans can turn regional attractions into a coordinated tourism circuit. This arrangement benefits both sides.
