Barry Manilow said his show in Lexington was rescheduled due to unexpected reasons. He wrote this on social media before the concert.

Some people were upset with Manilow for changing the time of his show at the last minute. Others sent him kind messages.

Barry Manilow, who is 82, gave an update on his cancer fight after canceling more tour dates.

Barry Manilow changed the time of his Kentucky show on August 4. This was due to unexpected reasons.

One person wrote on social media, 'Sending hugs, take care, and remember you must come first.'

Another person said, 'I'm sorry you had to reschedule your show. Please take care of yourself, Barry.'

In December, Manilow said he had early-stage lung cancer. Doctors found a cancer spot on his left lung after he had bronchitis.

Manilow wrote on Instagram that he had bronchitis for six weeks. Then he got sick again for five weeks. His doctor ordered an MRI to make sure he was okay.

The 82-year-old singer has early-stage lung cancer. He found out last year.

Manilow said the good news is that the cancer was found early. He won't need chemotherapy or radiation therapy.

In February, Manilow said he would change the dates of some of his shows in February and March.

That same month, Manilow talked about a tough conversation he had with his doctor.

Manilow's doctor said, 'You won't be ready to do a 90-minute show. Your lungs aren't ready yet.'

The doctor told Manilow that his body isn't ready for big shows. Manilow agreed with the doctor.

Manilow said he knew his body wasn't ready. He will come back to performing when he is ready.

Manilow has canceled many shows since he said he had cancer in December.

In May, Manilow said he was making good progress with his cancer treatment. He plans to perform again soon.

Manilow wrote on social media that his doctor said he is making good progress. He is exercising and training.
