From Christian TV Host to LGBT Podcaster: Arrested for Threatening President Trump
On September 3, 2026, federal agents took Southworth into custody. A grand jury, led by First Assistant U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli of the Central District of California, indicted him on three counts: cyberstalking, making harassing interstate calls, and threatening the President.
Southworth’s public career began in the late 2000s when he presented “The Remix” on major Christian networks. He publicly came out as gay in 2008, later opened for gay‑Christian singer Ray Boltz in 2010, and in 2020 launched the LGBT‑focused comedy podcast “Yass, Jesus!” which he co‑hosts with actor Daniel Franzese.
According to the indictment, Southworth posted multiple videos urging Trump’s murder, sold $5 “Kill Trump” stickers on his website “Holy Menace,” and disclosed the home address and phone numbers of the family of Trump’s personal attorney. He also left threatening voicemails that warned “justice comes to your door,” and an Instagram video from April 7, 2026 contained similar threats.
Legal experts note that publicly releasing private information without consent is called “doxxing,” and that threatening a U.S. president is a federal crime. Bill Essayli wrote on X that his office will prosecute anyone who crosses the line of political violence to the fullest extent of the law.
