Canada Soccer Team to Play Friendly Games Against Chile and Peru

Toronto and Montreal will host the Canadian men's soccer team after the World Cup.

The Canadian team will play Chile and Peru this fall after reaching the round of 16 at the 2026 World Cup.

Canada Soccer said the team will play Chile in Toronto on September 26 and Peru in Montreal on October 3. The team played these teams before in the 2024 Copa America. Canada beat Peru 1-0 and tied with Chile 0-0.

The Toronto game will be Canada's first at BMO Field since they got their first World Cup point by tying with Bosnia-Herzegovina 1-1.

Cyle Larin scored a late goal to help Canada get a historic point.

Canada then beat Qatar 6-0, lost to Switzerland 2-1, and came in second in their group.

The team won their first knockout game 1-0 against South Africa before losing 3-0 to Morocco.

Coach Jesse Marsch said the team is excited to play these games and thank their fans for their support. They hope many Canadians will come to celebrate the team's success and show their support this fall. The team wants to keep building on what they achieved at the World Cup.
