Vietnam is using global expertise.

The Ministry of Science and Technology has created a network of Vietnamese AI experts. This network brings together Vietnamese scientists, experts, and entrepreneurs from around the world.

The network aims to attract Vietnamese AI talents from around the world and form strong research teams.

The network will focus on practical challenges facing Vietnam and encourage international cooperation. It will support the development of AI models, platforms, and products in areas like healthcare and education.

Minister of Science and Technology Vu Hai Quan said AI should be brought into schools and businesses. He also said that global AI experts should be involved in policymaking.

Quan said training and research are key to the network. Leading experts should teach and inspire younger generations.

Bringing experts closer to students will help build a future pool of AI specialists.

The ministry plans to apply models that connect businesses with universities and research institutions. This will help solve practical problems.

The National Foundation for Science and Technology Development will support key AI research projects. The Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology will organize forums and workshops.

Research tasks will be selected based on competition, transparency, and fairness.

Organisations should have more autonomy to attract talents.

Quan said universities and businesses should have more freedom to recruit and retain talents.

The experience of the VNU 350 programme shows that scientists need a good environment to work in, not just a high salary.

The National Programme on AI Human Resources Development has been approved. It aims to make AI use an essential skill for learners and workers.

By 2030, most students will receive basic AI knowledge and skills. Higher education students will be equipped with basic AI, ethics, and data security knowledge.

The programme targets AI training for public-sector officials, labourers, and teachers.

The programme seeks to train highly qualified AI researchers, engineers, and experts.

The global network and national training programme will create a strong AI workforce.
