Before Avengers: Endgame, no movie made over $300 million US in its first weekend. Avengers: Infinity War and Star Wars: The Force Awakens held the record before. The third Spider-Man movie, No Way Home, also made a lot of money when it came out.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey did well at the box office. They have the same actors, like Tom Holland and Zendaya. This helped make it a record weekend for movie theaters in the US and Canada.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a darker movie.
The total box office sales in the US are up more than 15% from last year. They have made over $6.2 billion US so far.
