NASA will send a spacecraft to look at the crash site next week.

A South Korean satellite took the first pictures of the Moon's new crater made by a SpaceX rocket.

The rocket hit the Moon on Wednesday at 4:35pm Australian time.

The satellite took many pictures of the crash site from space.

The ground where the rocket hit is darker and has a lot of dust and rocks.

The Korean space agency says its satellite took the new pictures.

The satellite took pictures before and after the crash.

NASA will send a spacecraft to look at the crash site next week.

SpaceX launched the satellite from the US in 2022.

SpaceX also sent two private landers to the Moon last year.

The rocket that crashed into the Moon was going very fast, about 8,700 kilometres per hour.

Before the pictures were released, a telescope in Chile saw the crash.

The telescope saw a stream of special gases going into space after the crash.
