The world of hockey romance is getting hotter. Five new actors are joining the cast of Heated Rivalry.

Emily Hampshire plays Vanessa, a sex shop worker. Sabrina Jalees plays Farah Jalali, a sports agent. Priyanka plays Tarek, an office assistant.

Emily Hampshire is known for Schitt’s Creek and 12 Monkeys. Sabrina Jalees hosted Laugh Out Loud and wrote for Canada’s Got Talent.

Priyanka won Canada’s Drag Race.

Robert Naylor plays Wyatt Hayes, a goalie. Edvin Ryding plays Lucas Haas, a rookie hockey player.

Naylor voiced D.W. Read in Arthur. Ryding starred in Young Royals.

The new cast was announced on Instagram.

Season two of Heated Rivalry will follow Shane and Ilya’s story from The Long Game. The Long Game is part of Rachel Reid’s Game Changer series.

Everyone loves Heated Rivalry. It might change how we see gay sex on screen.

Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie will star in the show again.

Season one was based on the first two books, Game Changer and Heated Rivalry.

The new cast suggests the third book, Tough Guy, will be adapted. Vanessa and Tarek are friends of Fabian Salah.

The show will also include Troy Barrett and Harris Dover from the fifth book, Role Model.

Some fans are unhappy with the new cast announcement.

Justice Smith and Charlie Gillespie were cast as Harris and Troy.

Season 2 of Heated Rivalry will start in spring 2027.
