Wondermind was started by Gomez, Teefey, and Daniella Pierson in 2021. It aims to help people with their mental health.

The lawsuit says Wondermind and its founders lied about the company's progress and plans.

The lawsuit claims the founders said Gomez would help with marketing, Pierson had experience, and they had plans for making money. But none of this was true.

Gomez signed a contract but did not follow it. The partnerships and initiatives they talked about did not happen. The app was never made.

Global News tried to reach Gomez's team, but they did not respond.

While Wondermind was failing, the founders did not tell the investors what was happening.

The investors found out about the problems from an article in September 2025.

The article said Teefey had personal issues, Gomez did not do her job, and there were problems with the company's leadership and finances.

The investors put $1.2 million into Wondermind and are now suing for fraud and breach of contract.

The lawsuit says the investors were given false or misleading updates about the company.

From 2022 to 2025, the investors asked for updates, but the founders hid the truth.

When the founders did give updates, they said the company was doing well, which was not true.

The investors want their money back, damages, and payment for their lawyers.
