Jase Robertson, Al Robertson and Zach Dasher talked about the Lindsay Clancy case on their podcast “Unashamed with the Robertson Family.” They said the story has opened a “bigger conversation” about mental health in the United States.

Lindsay Clancy faced three first‑degree murder charges for the deaths of her children—Cora, 5; Dawson, 3; and infant Callan, 8 months. The trial ended in a mistrial when jurors could not agree on a verdict.

During the trial, Clancy’s defense asked the jury to find her not guilty by reason of insanity, pointing to postpartum psychosis and claiming she had been over‑medicated while seeking psychiatric help.

Zach Dasher argued that America is “turning spiritual issues into diseases.” He criticized the over‑prescription of psychiatric drugs, saying the mental‑health system is “not working” and that depression cannot be measured with a microscope.

Despite his criticism, Dasher said Clancy “should be held accountable and put in a facility,” adding that he feels sympathy for her. Jase Robertson agreed, stating that anyone who murders their children “needs to be locked up for the rest of your life.”

The stars’ comments highlight a tension in public debate: the need to treat genuine mental‑health problems while also ensuring legal accountability, and the risk of labeling spiritual struggles as purely medical conditions.
