Compliments Chicken Burgers Recalled in Canada
Leadbetter Foods Inc. has removed Compliments 100% chicken burgers from stores in Canada. This is due to an allergen risk, says the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
Compliments products are sold in many stores across Canada, including Sobeys and Safeway.
The recalled products are in 680-gram packages with eight chicken patties. The code is 0 55742 58333 5.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says this recall is a Class II. This means eating the burgers may cause short-term health problems.
The problem is that the burgers contain eggs, which are not listed.
No one has reported an allergic reaction from eating these burgers.
People are told not to eat, sell, or give away the burgers.
