North Korea launched another ballistic missile as the US and South Korea prepare for military drills.
South Korean and US soldiers took part in a military exercise in Pohang, South Korea. This happened on June 13, 2023.
Trump said the military exercises are costly and send a bad signal to North Korea. He thinks this is inappropriate and hostile. The US usually pays for these costs.
Trump linked his frustration with the military exercises to a separate issue with Iran. He mentioned this in the same post.
Trump asked South Korea's president if they wanted to help with Iran's nuclear issue. The president said no. Trump wrote about this on Truth Social.
A North Korea expert warned that the US should always be careful with Kim Jong Un after a missile test.

Trump gave his order a day before a big joint military exercise was set to start. The exercise is called the Ulchi Freedom Shield.

This year's exercise will involve around 18,000 South Korean troops. This is similar to previous years.
North Korea's government does not like the annual drills. They called it a rehearsal for a war last week.
Trump's order came after North Korea tested more weapons. They launched two ballistic missiles within six days.

He also said North Korea's missiles are getting better because of their work with Russia.
