Head scored a great 123 runs in the first Ashes Test to help Australia win.

He then scored 170 runs in the next Test with Alex Carey.

Carey had a great season, scoring 1,079 runs in 24 games.

Carey hit a great century in Adelaide and did well with his wicketkeeping.

The Allan Border Medal event was delayed this year because of scheduling issues.

Last year, the event was held without the men's players, so Head accepted his award via video.

Annabel Sutherland won the Belinda Clark Award for the second time.
