0:02I posted a picture on my instagram, of me underwater and I thought this was such a cool

0:07picture because I had just gotten my new Go-Pro and I thought it was so cool that I was able to

0:12take a picture underwater. All of a sudden like a million texts started coming through

0:17on my phone from a group chat that I was part of.

0:20The first text in the chat was a screenshot of the picture that I had just posted on my Instagram.

0:26I was kinda confused so I read the text below it and it said really mean

0:32things about my body and how I looked and then, I scrolled a few comments down and there

0:38was more stuff chiming in about my bathing suit, and my necklace and all this crazy stuff,

0:44and I was shocked.

0:46These were people I've gone to school with my whole life, and I’ve always considered

0:49them my friends and, I realized they must’ve not known that I was in the groupchat because

0:54they probably wouldn't have said any of this to my face.

0:57And I went over to the mirror, and I just began to feel really worthless, and I just

1:03examined myself and started feeling like everything they had been saying about me was true, and

1:08I just started to cry, just cry, let all my feelings out.

1:12My phone began to blow up faster and faster than before till’ I actually thought it

1:16would literally blow up and like fire would spread everywhere.

1:20People were still talking about me, and I just got so mad at that point, and I needed

1:25to say my part in this I wanted to stand up for myself now.

1:28So I picked up my phone, and I texted in the groupchat, “Sorry to interrupt but, I’m

1:35here and I’ve been reading your texts this whole time.

1:38What you guys are doing is really wrong, and I love the picture that I took.”

1:42There was silence, the texting had stopped, and I didn’t let their mean words change

1:47the way I felt about myself.

1:49I made the very picture they made fun of my new profile picture!
