Senior Constable Ben Lucas explained on the WA Police Confidential podcast that the arrest was part of a wider investigation into the buying and selling of illegal drugs in the Broome area.

Body‑cam footage released by the police shows officers digging through a fast‑food paper bag before pulling out the McMuffin, which appeared to have a bite taken out of it and contained a sealed packet of meth.

The man has been charged with possession with intent to sell or supply and is scheduled to appear in magistrates court on September 9.

A woman who was also in the car was arrested at the same time, but she was released after police finished questioning her.
