JW Marriott Starts a New Food Series in Vietnam and South Korea

JW Marriott is starting a new food series called 'Savor by JW Dining'. It will run from August 7 to November 28. There will be eight special dinners at JW Marriott hotels in Vietnam and South Korea. The dinners will feature local food, special cooking methods, and herbs from the hotel's garden.

A dish called herb crusted Gyukatsu with black truffle mashed potato is made by JW Tamayura.

The series begins at Nikura in JW Marriott Hotel & Suites Saigon. Chef Ivan Casusol and Chef Kyungjin Lee from Tamayura in Seoul are working together. They are combining Japanese and Nikkei food styles. Then, the series moves to Seoul from August 20-22 with a theme called 'Harmony of Origins'.

Chef Ivan Casusol from Nikura at JW Marriott Hotel & Suites Saigon is one of the chefs in the series.

From October 8-10, the series will be at JW Marriott Cam Ranh Bay Resort & Spa. Chef Nguyen Tuan Vu and Chef Hyun Ki 'Brad' In from BLT Steak in Seoul are teaming up. They will make local seafood dishes and steakhouse food. This will also happen in Seoul from October 22-24.

At JW Marriott Hotel Hanoi, Chef Takanori Tanaka and Chef Jung Sik Min are working together from October 29-31. They will make a menu that combines Japanese food with grilling methods. This is after they worked together in Seoul from October 14-16.

Chef Kyungjin Lee from Tamayura at JW Marriott Hotel Seoul is part of the series.

The last collaboration is from November 4-6 at JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa. Chef Danny Do and Chef Ted Yoon from The Flying Hog in Jeju are teaming up.

The Flying Hog is a well-known restaurant that uses wood-fire cooking and seasonal ingredients from Jeju. The collaboration will combine French cooking methods with live-fire cooking and feature Vietnamese seafood and Jeju ingredients.

The series ends in Jeju from November 26-28. The chefs will make a menu with local ingredients cooked over a wood fire, including a dessert inspired by Jeju citrus.

JW Marriott says the dining series is meant to show culinary collaboration and the food traditions of Vietnam and South Korea.
