259 Passengers Stuck on Plane for 8 Hours

A flight from Toronto to Dhaka had a problem and landed in Rome. This happened on August 6. The plane landed at 7:20 a.m. the next day.

Passengers were on the plane for 8 hours without air conditioning. Some people felt sick.

The problem was not fixed, so the flight was cancelled. Passengers got off the plane and went to the terminal.

To fix the plane, engineers from Bangladesh went to Rome. They brought the needed parts and tools. They started working on the plane at 11:15 p.m. on August 8.

The plane left Rome for Dhaka the same day.

The airline did not say what the problem was. Engineers from Dhaka fixed the plane and made it safe to fly again.

Last month, something similar happened on an Emirates flight. Passengers were stuck on the plane for 10 hours without air conditioning.
