Vietnam got over $38 billion in foreign investment from January to July 2026, which is 58% more than last year.
The government said that the total foreign investment was $38.06 billion by July 31, including new projects and more money for existing ones.
New investment is more than double.
From January to July, Vietnam approved 2,429 new foreign projects worth $21.05 billion.
The number of new projects rose 7.8% and new investment more than doubled.
Manufacturing got the most new investment with $11.58 billion, which is 55% of the total.
Electricity and water supply projects got $3.13 billion, which is 14.9%, and other sectors got $6.34 billion, which is 30.1%.
Singapore is still Vietnam's biggest new investor.
Among 69 countries investing in Vietnam, Singapore invested the most with $7.5 billion, which is 35.6% of the total.

Thai Nguyen got nearly $5.8 billion in new foreign investment from January to July 2026.
Ho Chi Minh City got $3.6 billion and had 1,235 new projects.
Nghe An got $2.3 billion.
Hai Phong got over $1.8 billion.
Bac Ninh got over $1.3 billion.
Dong Nai got over $794 million.
666 existing projects got more investment, totaling $10.43 billion, which is up 4.4% from last year.
Foreign investment disbursement is at a 5-year high.
Vietnam had strong growth in actual foreign investment used.
From January to July 2026, $15.2 billion in foreign investment was used, which is up 11.8% from last year.
This is the highest level of foreign investment used in the first 7 months in 5 years.
Manufacturing used $12.55 billion, which is 82.6% of the total.
Real estate got $1.1 billion, which is 7.5%, and electricity projects got $549.3 million, which is 3.6%.
