Nigerian Army Saves 31 People After Church Attack

Gunmen attacked a church in Kaduna state during Easter. Five people were killed. A church official said seven people were killed.
The army fought the attackers, and they ran away, leaving the hostages and dead people behind.

In another incident, the military killed 65 bandits in Zamfara state after an attack.
The police said many people were taken from villages in the state, and they were looking for them.
The US government talked about the treatment of Christians in Nigeria and asked the government to do more to keep them safe.
The US president said there was a 'Christian genocide' in Nigeria, but the Nigerian government disagreed.
US troops went to Nigeria to train the army and help them fight against Islamist militants.
