NHS warns of common mistakes in heatwave

Paramedics warn of five common mistakes in a heatwave. The Met Office says the heatwave will continue for days.

The next tip is to avoid the midday sun. The sun is strongest between 11am and 3pm.
One surprising tip is not to jump into open water to cool down.
Rivers and lakes are cold and can be dangerous. The temperature change can be fatal.
Number two, do not leave children or pets in parked cars. The temperature can rise fast.
Number one, check on vulnerable people. They can become unwell in the heat.
