A young woman died in a car accident near Sherwood Park on Thursday morning.

The police got a call about a car accident in Strathcona County at 12:30 a.m. They went to the scene.

The police think the car lost control on a gravel road and fell into a ditch with water.

Three people got out of the car, but they said one person was still inside.

The police and ambulance found the fourth person under the car. She was very hurt and later died.

The police are sorry for the families and friends of the people involved.
