Night Lights on the Saigon River Bridge

The lighting covers arches, arch bases, piers and even the water surface. The design looks like a nipa palm leaf and moves gently, with different colors for weekdays, weekends, holidays and special events.
The bridge cost almost VND1 trillion (US$38.6 million). It is 720 m long and its 187‑m main span is shaped like a nipa palm leaf. Nutifood Nutrition Food JSC pays the whole cost, including the lights.
Officials say the bridge will draw people who walk or jog in the evening, as well as tourists and photo lovers. It will also host community events, help riverside shops and support the city’s night‑time economy plan.
In short, the illuminated bridge is expected to change how residents and visitors spend their evenings and boost local businesses. The lighting will turn the bridge into a popular spot for recreation and tourism.
