NYT Connections Hints for August 14, 2026
Connections is a popular New York Times word game. It's about finding common threads between words. Like Wordle, it gets harder each day, so we have hints to help.
You can see today's puzzle answer at the end of this article. Or, keep reading for clues and tips to solve it yourself.
The NYT's new word game is a social media hit. Wyna Liu helped create it. You can play on the web or on your phone.
Each puzzle has 16 words in four groups. The groups can be about book titles, countries, or software. Only one answer is correct.
If you get a group right, those words disappear. If you get it wrong, it's a mistake. You can make four mistakes before the game ends.
You can move the words around to make it easier. Each group has a color: yellow is easy, green is medium, blue is hard, and purple is very hard. You can share your results on social media.
Want a hint about the groups without knowing what they are? Try these:
Yellow groups are about patterns.
Green groups are about thinking.
Blue groups are about drawing.
Purple groups are about similar shapes.
