The update lets users discover new tracks while they listen to a song. By typing or speaking, they can ask Ask Music for details about a song, its album, or the musicians who made it.

In a live demo, YouTuber Derrick Gee showed how Ask Music can answer questions such as “who played bass on this track?” The tool then listed other songs that feature the same bassist, and it could also point out songs that sampled the original track.

The upgrade also connects music to podcasts. If a listener likes a song, Ask Music can suggest podcasts or specific episodes that feature the artist or give more background on the track.

Your Podcast Lineup creates an AI‑generated list of podcasts that YouTube Music thinks the user will enjoy, based on their listening interests.

These tools aim to make YouTube Music a deeper, more personal experience, turning simple listening into a chance to learn more about the music and discover new podcasts.
