Jet2's hand luggage rules will not change with new European rules.

New European rules start in 2027 to make airline baggage rules clearer. Jet2 already gives customers a free 10kg cabin bag and a personal item.

Jet2 says customers like the free 10kg allowance and it helps them choose the airline. About 80% of passengers like this free allowance.

Jet2 CEO Steve Heapy says the new rules will not change how the company works. Heapy thinks customers should not pay extra for their essentials and should know what they pay for.

Heapy likes the new rules that help customers understand what they pay for and compare airlines.

New EU Rules

The EU voted for new air passenger rights that include more than just baggage rules.

UK Travel

These EU rules will affect UK passengers flying from European airports. The rules will start in mid-2027.
