Apple’s First Earnings Test Under New CEO Highlights Cost Pressures and Product Hurdles
Apple’s memory‑chip costs are rising sharply, and analysts expect them to drag quarterly profit growth to its weakest in six quarters. This pressure tests the company’s ability to maintain margins during a costly supply environment.
Analysts forecast an 11% revenue increase to $113.39 billion and a 6% profit rise to $29.04 billion for the fiscal fourth quarter. Those numbers will be a key indicator of how well Apple can grow despite higher component prices.
Apple’s services business is projected to grow almost 10%, marking its slowest pace in more than three years. At the same time, iPhone sales are expected to climb about 15% to $56.54 billion, showing continued demand for the flagship line.
The new iPhone Duo, Apple’s first foldable phone, has drawn attention because some buyers reported screen‑fold cracks and because Bank of America estimates average delivery waits of 79 days. How quickly Apple can replace affected units while supply stays tight will be closely watched.
