Walker’s season in danger after loss to Dolphins, Wests lead Cowboys

The Dolphins defended well and beat the Roosters 26-12. Sam Walker hurt his ankle early in the second half and could not play further.

In Townsville, the Cowboys try to win and stay in the finals race against the Tigers.

South Sydney beat the Titans 42-22, earning a finals spot after a tribute to retiring player Jai Arrow before the game.

Arrow retired because he has motor neurone disease. He started the game, was replaced by Cameron Murray, and will again sit out next week to reach 100 games for the Rabbitohs.

In the women’s NRL, the Roosters won 33-8 over Cronulla‑Sutherland, the Titans beat the Raiders 26-20, and Newcastle beat North Queensland 40-6.

Grant Atkins, after talking with Koroisau, said he hoped the referee was not being unfair, hinting at possible bias.

Playing with one less player for most of the last 20 minutes, the Dolphins’ defence against top attackers was amazing.

Kristian Woolf will love that defensive effort.

They took the lead with strong attack and kept it with tough defence.

Wow. A terrible mistake, but big credit to Cobbo for the effort and Tom Gilbert chasing from behind to keep pressure.

After scoring a great try to keep the Roosters in the game, he gets up and gives Isaiya Katoa a strong spray after a hard bump on the Dolphins halfback.

Knowles is sent to the sin‑bin for a hip drop.
