A classic seaside resort is a top place to visit this summer.

Morecambe is a seaside town with a 106% rise in interest, making it the fastest trending destination. It might not be as well-known as other beach towns, but it has a lot to offer.

Morecambe has sandy beaches, views of the hills, and a long promenade with traditional seaside activities. There are ice cream shops, amusements, and fish and chip shops, making it perfect for a fun day out.

The five-mile promenade is great for walking or biking, with plenty of space to enjoy. Boxing champion Tyson Fury used to run along this promenade.

Some visitors warned that there's not much to do in Morecambe, but a walk along the promenade is nice. One person said they had to eat in a hotel because the fish and chip shop was busy.

A Booking.com manager said: 'This summer, people are being more intentional about their travel plans. They want to discover new places, have solo adventures, or follow their passions.'
