A Decade‑Long Neck Tumor and Its Impact
U bướu cổ kéo dài một thập kỷ và những hệ lụy
Nguồn: Tuoitre
A 42‑year‑old man in Hanoi lived with a large fatty tumor (lipoma) in the front of his neck for more than ten years. He finally had the tumor removed, so his story shows how a long‑time lump can change daily life.
The tumor made his neck and chest look very different and caused frequent pain, discomfort and trouble breathing. Because of these problems, his daily activities and his confidence were badly affected.
Surgeons at 108 Military Central Hospital cut out the tumor and used skin flaps to rebuild his neck. The operation restored his neck function and gave him a better appearance.
Doctors say anyone who finds an unusual lump in the neck should see a doctor quickly. They warn not to treat the lump yourself or wait, especially if it grows, hurts, or makes breathing hard.
