Indonesia is preparing big discounts for the year‑end travel rush. Antara News Agency reported that fare reductions of up to 13% will apply to flights from Dec 22 2026 to Jan 10 2027, so many people can pay less for holiday trips.

The same agency said eligible flights have been bookable since Oct 20 2026, giving travelers time to plan early. These discounts target domestic routes, the most common way to move around the country during the holidays.

Jakarta Post reported that the government will cover 100% of VAT on eligible tickets and give a 50% discount on airport charges. The reductions also include passenger service charges and fees for aircraft landing, parking and storage, helping to lower overall ticket costs.

Official data showed Indonesia recorded 842.15 million domestic tourist trips in the first eight months of 2026, a 4.29% rise from last year. Jakarta Post reported that the measures aim to ease travel costs during the year‑end holiday period, meaning your travel budget could stretch further.
