Hanoi will host the first Global Festival for the Conservation and Development of Craft Villages from November 13 to 16. The four‑day event is important because it gathers traditional artisans, tourists and potential investors in one place.

The programme includes traditional handicraft exhibitions, live artisan demonstrations, international competitions and cultural tourism activities. These activities give craft makers a chance to display their work and meet buyers.

On November 14, a conference on investment promotion for rural industry products is scheduled at the Centre for Vietnam Craft Village Quintessence in Bat Trang. The meeting will focus on encouraging investment in village‑based craft production.

The Asia‑Pacific Handicraft Competition will be held at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel. This competition provides a platform for artisans and designers to connect and to inspire new handicraft product ideas.

Through exhibitions, exchanges, investment promotion and tourism activities, the festival aims to connect Vietnamese craft villages with international partners, promote the value of traditional handicrafts and foster the development of rural crafts. In doing so, it helps preserve cultural heritage while supporting local economies.
