Planning a road trip to Vietnam’s biggest sunflower field can be easy and cheap. The field is near Nghe An Province and offers bright yellow flowers that many travelers love.
According to Nguyen Hong Nhat, the field covers about 150 hectares, making it Vietnam’s largest sunflower field. It stretches roughly two kilometers along National Highway 48E in Nghe An Province. The site was originally a dairy‑cow feed farm, and this year the flowers were planted in three successive batches so different sections bloom at different times.
Nhat said the round‑trip drive from Hanoi is about 250 km and takes around four hours each way. He also said the couple spent roughly $61‑65 total (fuel $27‑31, tolls $15, meals $19) for two people. The route used expressways and national highways and was relatively flat and easy to navigate.
Based on his experience, Nhat recommends spending two days and one night to combine the sunflower fields with nearby attractions and avoid fatigue. This plan also lets visitors enjoy the scenery without rushing.
