According to the report, the chain announced temporary closures for several locations—including Cali Thao Dien, Cali Landmark, Cali Tower and Gigamall—from 24 October to 30 October, and other sites followed a day later. Members such as Do Ha Uyen, who has been enrolled since 2014, and Bich Thuy, who paid more than $3,800 for an Iconic package, now cannot use the facilities they paid for.

According to the report, both women expressed uncertainty about refunds or the possibility of transferring their memberships to open gyms. In response, members have created social‑media groups—one in Hanoi with over 600 participants and another in Ho Chi Minh City with about 230—to exchange contracts, discuss options and consider legal action.

According to the report, employees are feeling the strain as well. Personal trainer B.K. reported that he has not received his full salary or commissions since July, despite earlier promises that payments would be settled by 25 October. The company also owes more than $343,000 in overdue social, health and unemployment insurance for 416 workers, and over $166,000 in unpaid taxes.

These abrupt closures therefore jeopardise members’ prepaid investments and staff’s earnings, while the growing online mobilisation shows that many are seeking compensation or other remedies.
