According to The Hollywood Reporter, Musk’s attorney Alex Spiro sent a formal legal notice to the production, demanding that the filmmakers “check their facts with the people who know them” and warning of further legal action if they do not.

Jigsaw Productions, the company behind the documentary, responded by defending the film’s accuracy and stating that Musk should be championing the right to examine powerful figures, describing him as a “free‑speech absolutist.”

The dispute highlights how a high‑profile individual can use lawsuits and social‑media attacks to challenge an unfavorable portrayal, raising questions about the balance between protecting reputation and preserving free‑speech scrutiny of powerful people.
