Tyson Fury Says He Will Retire This Year

Tyson Fury says he will stop boxing this year. He fights Mariusz Wach in Thailand on July 24 and will meet Anthony Joshua later. Fury, 37, retired six times before, but changed his mind.

Fury returned to boxing in April after 16 months. He beat Arslanbek Makhmudov and now fights Wach. Joshua fights Kristian Prenga the next day and may fight Fury later.

Fury said, 'This is my last year. I want to be active and not box until I'm 65.' He confirmed, 'This is the last year, yeah.'

Fury wants to stay busy and active. He said, 'It's not about money or belts, it's about enjoying my life and boxing.' He may fight many times this year.

Fury hasn't fought more than twice in a year since 2018. He came back from retirement and fought Francesco Pianeta and Sefer Seferi.

If Fury fights four times and faces Joshua, it will be his first time since 2011. Back then, he fought for British and Commonwealth titles.

Most of Fury's fights are 12 rounds, but one was 10 rounds. Any fight with Joshua will likely be 12 rounds.

The fight may happen in the United Kingdom, and Wembley Stadium is a possible venue.
