People from a small village in B.C. can go home. The fire danger is lower now.

Some people who left because of fires can go home now. This change started at 8 a.m.

But not all areas are safe. About 373 homes are still in danger.

Some roads are safe now, like Clinton-Pavillion Road and part of Highway 97.

Other areas like Big Bar Lake and Chasm are also safe now. You can see a map for details.

But some areas near the town are still not safe because of the Pear Lake fire.

The mayor of Clinton said people are going back to a town that has been hurt by the fires. Some services will not be available.

People from Clinton can go home a day after people from Peachland went back to their homes.

When it was announced that people could go back, the District of Summerland gave them information.

The Pear Lake fire is still the biggest in the province. It covers about 1,574 square kilometers.

Many people are still not in their homes. There are 45 areas where people had to leave because of fires.

This fire season started early and has already destroyed about 400 buildings, including homes.
