Thailand’s U23 team has announced its squad for the Gia Lai VTV Cup 2026. Their first match will be against host Vietnam U23 on 10 November, a game that could decide the tournament’s early direction.
The Thai squad includes players who have already shown skill at the 2026 Asian Games. Paripan Wongsa and Jehhanafee Mamah attracted attention with their performances there. Striker Worawut Noisri, born in 2005, scored in Thailand’s 5‑1 win over Hong Kong U23 in the same tournament.
Goalkeeper Sirassawut Wongruankham also brings experience from continental competitions. With these players, Thailand U23 is expected to be a strong opponent for Vietnam.
The VTV Cup runs from 10 to 14 November at Pleiku Stadium. The four teams play a single round‑robin, and the champion will win $100,000.
Because of their experienced players, Thailand U23 could be a tough challenge for Vietnam in the opening match. The result may set the tone for the rest of the tournament.
